Off-campus workshops
An internal grants program through the MDHI gives faculty the opportunity to supplement on-campus training with specialized off-campus digital humanities training, such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and site visits. Examples of possible off-site trainings include, but are not limited to:

- Humanities Intensive Learning and Teaching (HILT)
- The Alliance for Digital Humanities’ Digital Humanities Conference
- Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School
- THATCamp
- National Endowment for the Humanities’ Office of Digital Humanities Workshops
- Workshops before/after the Humanities, Arts, Sciences and Technology Alliance and Collaboratory annual conference
- Spatial Humanities at Lancaster University (UK) GIS Summer School
- European Summer University in Digital Humanities
- StoryCenter workshops
- The Allied Media Conference
- Oral History Summer School
